Selling My Ad Parcels

I had given some thought to what to do with my 47 ad parcels now that LL banned my Trump 2020 signs on them

I decided that I might as well just sell them, at a tidy profit of course. 

They are listed for sale at $1000 L each.

One sold almost right away and I'm hopeful  that most of the rest will sell as well.

If they do, then I think I have found a new source of income, buying and selling micro parcels

LL bans political advertising on Networked Advertising

I received this e-mail from LL yesterday:

Dear BilliJo Aldrin,

This email is notification of action regarding your Second Life account, BilliJo Aldrin, for violation of the Second Life Terms and Conditions or Community Standards.


Violation: Community Standards: Harassment, Network Advertising Violation

As of the 1st October 2008, all residents will need to comply with the new network advertising mainland policy.

Please make sure that you follow these rules:

* We will allow no more than 50 advertising locations owned by a single individual, whether personally owned or via groups in which you are a member, unless you have written permission from Linden Lab to exceed this limit. Use of Alt accounts/groups to circumvent this restriction will be considered a violation.

* In addition to the cap, we will allow no more than 1 advertising placement by an individual in any single region.

* We will not allow the land parcel containing the advertising placement to be set for sale.

Rules on advertisements themselves:

* Adverts should be grounded to the terrain, not floating.
* Adverts should extend no higher than 8m from the ground.
* No rotating, no flashing content and no particles.
* No unsolicited dispensing of IMs, notecards, landmarks or content.
* No light sources or glow (full bright is acceptable however).
* Advertising hoardings should be Phantom.
* Adverts must be clearly G in nature.
* No sound and no temp-on-rez content.
*Ad content may not be political in nature.
* Ban lines should be switched off.

We have returned one or more objects which were reported. If you still have advertising items on the mainland, please check and make sure all the content complies with the network advertising policy as stated above.

Repeated or continued violations in the same or further regions, will result in suspension and/or termination of your account.

Action:
As a result of this violation, your Second Life account is being temporarily suspended for a period of 0 days. It will return to active status on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Appeal Process:
The decision to suspend your Second Life access was reached after investigation of your use of the Second Life software and service. If you would like to appeal your suspension, you may contact Second Life Support by filing a support ticket at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case.

Reading it I saw political ads were not allowed on ad farm parcels. I knew that was not there before so I checked the wiki, and yes Patch Linden had modified the wiki that very day.

I'm sure LL was tired of the ARs against my signs and this was the easiest way to solve the problem, 

add a line banning political ads to the rules about ad farms, thus making mine instantly illegal.

Presto, with one line all their problems with my signs were solved.

Of course as soon as the rules were changed, I was immediately suspended for violating them, with a dire threat of further suspensions if the problem was not corrected post paste.

It was a  cheap trick just the get out of an uncomfortable (for them) situation

Kudos to you LL, give yourself a pat on the back for making SL safer for leftist snowflakes (which probably includes the majority of your staff).

I Lost Bobbi (Again)

 A notice was in my e-mail today saying my twin sister Bobbi had run away.

It had been months since I last saw her, and I'd considered the possibility that I'd never see her again.

My Newest Property

When Phleur assured me she was gonna stay premium and continue donating her tier. I looked around for a new 1024 to acquire.
